Tues 20th Oct 2009 - CBT Train - Drinks - Chat

Postby Jonthekiwi » Wed Sep 16, 2009 10:24 pm

Just to let all forum users and CBT members know of an up coming evening to meet up over some drinks.

Train to Huapai (Helensville train) Dep Britomart at 5:30pm
At Haupai it is a short 50 mtr walk to Huapai Tavern for an hour of drinks and discussion.
Then catch the return evening train from Huapai back to Britomart. After that, perhaps go to TRAFFIC bar next to Britomart station for continued discussion, or a couple more drinks?

Be good to see you all on board!

I'll be there, but to spite the Helensville run, I'll take the bus instead

The Huapai Tavern is where my car was stolen from in July. Right beside the building, under the lights. The place has bad vibes for me, so think I'll pass!

Let's fill out the Helensville train to Huapai! Would be quite funny if we did that..or at least 50 or so turned up!

Ironically, the last time I took the Helensville train, it was a day where we had record patronage (something like 75 passengers in each direction, mostly consisting of elderly folk who boarded at Swanson). However, like I said, I am going to spite the Helensville service (that set rightfully belongs on the Eastern/Southern line where loads are much much higher) and take the bus to Huapai and back.

Why are you agsiant Helensville train services and catch a bus instead which is more polluting , why do think that Southern and Eastern line commuters deserve more than Western line commuters, I thought you supported public transport but know I know that you support canceling services which does not make better public transport
Go the train! Go the bus! Go the ferry!
Down with the car!
Down with National!
